Trasplante de c\u00f3rnea.<\/h4>\n

Una c\u00f3rnea sana debe permanecer clara (transparente). Cuando la c\u00f3rnea presenta alguna opacidad, deformidad (queratocono), distrofia de Fuchs (las c\u00e9lulas de la capa interior no funcionan) o cicatrices, podr\u00eda ser necesario reemplazarla mediante una cirug\u00eda en la cual se utiliza una c\u00f3rnea sana.<\/p>\n

Queratoplastia de Penetraci\u00f3n (QP) o trasplante de c\u00f3rnea de espesor total:<\/span><\/h6>\n

cuando las capas delantera e interior de la c\u00f3rnea est\u00e1n da\u00f1adas, podr\u00eda ser necesario reemplazar la c\u00f3rnea completa, extrayendo la da\u00f1ada y sustituy\u00e9ndola por una sana; con este procedimiento el tiempo de recuperaci\u00f3n puede ser hasta de un a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n

Queratoplastia Lamelar Anterior Profunda (QLAP) o trasplante de c\u00f3rnea de espesor parcial:<\/span><\/h6>\n

se presenta cuando las capas delantera e intermedia est\u00e1n da\u00f1adas. En este caso, s\u00f3lo se extraen esas capas. La capa endotelial as\u00ed como la capa posterior delgada, se mantienen en su lugar, este procedimiento es para los pacientes con queratocono.<\/p>\n

La Queratoplastia Endotelial o trasplante parcial:<\/span><\/h6>\n

cuando la capa m\u00e1s interna de la c\u00f3rnea llamada \u201cendotelio\u201d est\u00e1 da\u00f1ada se hace una peque\u00f1a incisi\u00f3n retirando el tejido enfermo sustituy\u00e9ndolo por tejido sano, coloc\u00e1ndose puntos que posteriormente se retiran, este procedimiento reduce el riesgo de rechazo.<\/p>\n
