Un eclipse es un evento natural asombroso que nos toca vivir pocas veces. A todos nos encantar\u00eda mirar directamente un eclipse, sin embargo, hacerlo sin la protecci\u00f3n adecuada causa da\u00f1os irreversibles a los ojos, en especial en la retina. Aunque no hay dolor ni deslumbramiento, la retina puede estar absorbiendo una gran cantidad de energ\u00eda infrarroja y ultravioleta, las radiaciones electromagn\u00e9ticas son lo suficientemente energ\u00e9ticas como para quemarla.<\/p>\n

Los fotorreceptores y el epitelio pigmentario de la retina son muy sensibles a la radiaci\u00f3n del sol, el da\u00f1o que se produce es conocido como retinopat\u00eda solar.<\/p>\n
