La conjuntiva es la parte delgada y transparente que cubre los parpados por adentro y la parte blanca del ojo (escler\u00f3tica).\u00a0 La funci\u00f3n de la conjuntiva es ayudar a\u00a0lubricar el ojo\u00a0mediante la producci\u00f3n de aceites y mucosas, adem\u00e1s evita la entrada\u00a0 microbios en el ojo.<\/p>\n

Cuando la parte blanca del ojo se pone rojo, se hinchan y a veces producen laga\u00f1a en uno y\/o los dos ojos estamos hablando de conjuntivitis.<\/p>\n

Est\u00e1 causada por el \u00a0virus de la gripe, los s\u00edntomas son ojos rojos, ardor, secreci\u00f3n blancal y\/o amarillo, sensaci\u00f3n de basurita, este tipo de conjuntivitis \u00a0\u00a0suele ser contagiosa, la higiene tiene un papel muy importante para evitar el contagio por lo que es importante lavarse las manos, no tocarse ni tallarse los ojos, cambiar sabanas, fundas, toallas, tirar las pinturas de los ojos.<\/p>\n

Podemos colocar fomentos de agua fr\u00eda y\/o bolsitas de t\u00e9 de manzanilla fr\u00eda, s\u00f3lo se debe usar una vez en cada ojo y tirarla a la basura, repetir este procedimiento 3 veces al d\u00eda, esta limpieza solo es por fuera, si nos colocamos lagrimas artificiales estas nos ayudaran a limpiar por adentro del ojo.<\/p>\n

Causada por una infecci\u00f3n bacteriana, los s\u00edntomas de este tipo de conjuntivitis son: ojos rojos,\u00a0 dolor, hinchados, lagrimeo , secreci\u00f3n amarilla y\/o verde, comez\u00f3n, ardor, sensaci\u00f3n de una basurita, puede lastimar la luz. Al igual que la conjuntivitis viral tambi\u00e9n es contagiosa por lo que hay que tener precausiones para evitar que se contagie toda la familia, podemos considerar las recomendaciones arriba mencionadas.<\/p>\n
